June is here, and with it comes that unmistakable summer energy: longer days, louder plans, and a calendar that can fill up fast.
If you’ve been feeling a little stretched, trying to keep up at work, keep everyone else taken care of, and still “be healthy” on top of it all, this is your reminder: you don’t need a perfect routine to feel good in your body.
You just need a few moments that are yours.
This month, we’re leaning into community, reconnection, and movement with purpose, the kind that leaves you feeling more like you, not more exhausted.
Below you’ll find the June event calendar, a Core Lab section, plus a Save the Date for a powerful retreat experience happening in September.
Your June Event Calendar (Come as you are)
Your next best workout isn’t the one you “should” do. It’s the one you’ll actually show up for. So pick a date, invite a friend, and let’s move.
1) Zumba at POST Houston
High energy. Great music. Zero pressure to be perfect. Just show up ready to sweat and smile.
Thursday, June 4 , POST Houston
Tuesday, June 16 , POST Houston
Want to see details and RSVP? Start here: Zumba at POST Houston (event details) Upcoming events list
Quick note: If you’ve ever told yourself “I’m not a dancer,” you’re exactly who Zumba is for. This is a judgment-free zone. YOU lead with joy.
2) Stryd Walk Club
If your nervous system has been running the show lately, walking with community is one of the simplest ways to come back to yourself. It’s movement, yes, but it’s also conversation, breath, and being reminded you’re not doing life alone.
Saturday, June 6
Saturday, June 13
Saturday, June 20
Note: The location has changed to McNaughton Park in Missouri City, 3047 Hampton Dr.
Get the vibe and RSVP here: Stryd Walk Club (event details) (You can also find all dates on the Upcoming Events page.)
Bring: water, comfy shoes, and a willingness to let your shoulders drop for once.
3) Trebly Park Zumba , 6:30 PM (Every other Thursday… the rest of the month)
Summer evenings were made for this. If your week needs a reset button, this is it.

Thursday, June 11 , 6:30 PM , Trebly Park (Houston, TX)
Thursday, June 18 , 6:30 PM , Trebly Park (Houston, TX)
Thursday, June 25 , 6:30 PM , Trebly Park (Houston, TX)
This is your permission slip: DON’T wait until you “feel motivated.” Show up anyway. The joy usually meets you after you start moving.
How to “Choose Yourself” This Summer (Without Overhauling Your Life)
Let’s name it: summer can be a lot.
More social plans. More travel. More “let’s do something!” energy. And if you’re a high-achieving woman, it’s easy to turn that into another season where you’re giving to everyone else… and hoping you’ll catch up to yourself later.
So here’s a mini framework you can use all month:
The 3-Part Summer Check-In
ASK: What does my body need today, not what do I think I should do?
CHOOSE: One action that supports that need (10 minutes counts).
PROTECT: Put it on the calendar. Treat it like a meeting you can’t miss.
And if you need ideas for “one action,” start here:
A walk with Stryd Walk Club
Zumba at POST or Trebly Park
10 minutes of stretching before bed
Saying “no” to one thing that drains you
Not because you’re selfish. Because you’re SUSTAINABLE.
Insider Tips for Thriving in Houston Summer Movement
You don’t need to fear the heat: you just need to respect it.
Use these quick rules to keep your movement safe and enjoyable:
HYDRATE EARLY. Start drinking water earlier in the day, not just when class begins.
WEAR THE RIGHT FABRIC. Light, breathable, moisture-wicking outfits make a real difference.
SCALE YOUR INTENSITY. If your body says “slow down,” LISTEN. That’s wisdom, not weakness.
TAKE BREAKS BEFORE YOU NEED THEM. A quick pause is powerful prevention.
Progress doesn’t require punishment. It requires consistency: and consistency requires you feeling good enough to return.
Core Lab
If you’ve been craving strength that feels functional: the kind that supports your posture, your back, your confidence, your everyday life: Core Lab is for you.
Core work is not about chasing a flat stomach. It’s about building a center that helps you move through the world like you belong to yourself.
Core Lab is happening on June 13th, and tickets are on sale on the website right now.
You can find Core Lab details and tickets here: Autumn Chastain’s Core Lab (event details)
Come expecting: focus, fire, and that post-class “oh wow… I needed that.”
